Cam and Cheese

During one of my web projects, I pitched the idea of taking the product pictures for my client's site. Since the majority of his products were fairly small, I could build my own light box (like the one seen on www.DIYPhotography.net - but modified with whatever things I could get my hands on). So here's a list of materials I used, and the finish product, as well as a picture of an item that was in my light box.

With a long shutter speed and a dark night, you can create light drawings in the air. It's a very fun way to kill some time if you are out in a dark area late at night. I spent a few hours at Cypress Mountain last summer creating fun light pictures. I also even did them in my room.

Blur in your pictures can come about from a lot of different ways. Not all blur is bad. Bokeh is a term used to describe the blurry out-of-focus background in your images when using large apertures. It's a really desirable effect. However not all blur is desirable, and here are some tips to reduce that blur from your images.

Transferring pictures from your camera to your computer seems like a simple thing to do. Just connect your camera to your computer using the USB cable that came with your camera right? Wrong. There's a faster way to do it.
