It should be pretty easy to place it back onto the strap. I've dropped my camera from my R-Strap once actually when i was tyin my shoe. As i bent down, I placed my camera on my lap, and I guess my hip or leg or something opened up the switch and my camera fell about a foot to the ground, LCD first. Thank god my D80 has a LCD cover. I wasn't using the plastic "lock" that they told us to use, because I was unaware at the time. I guess this mechanism will be better.
