Tomorrow is my brother's last regular season game. The last game there was supposedly a bench clearing brawl. They won 5-2, so the other team started picking fights. They didn't even get to finish the game. Too bad I didn't get to see.
Tomorrow I'm just going to use my Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 or possibly the Nikon 18-200 for more range, and then I'll VR also. I'll decide later. And I'll post shots from both days. I'm also watched a Nikon DVD. I'm going to try using a couple techniques he was talking about. He just went over some basic features of Nikon cameras. I'm going to try using AF-C (continuous), and also going to try using Shutter priority.
I also used my Nikon 18-200 today, and wow, I had forgotten how fast and silent AF-S is.
Oh yah.. I also found out Tamron has come out with their own Image Stabilization and they are calling it VC or Vibration Compensation. They have it on a new lens, a 28-300 mm f/3.5-6.3 XR Di VC. That is such a huge range. Given that I love my Tamron 17-50, I wonder how good this lens will be. They also have a 18-270 mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC. I'd love to try them out.
EDIT: Tried to shoot at the game. My Shutter Priority kept under exposing for some reason. I even adjusted the exposure compensation and it was still under exposing. I didn't get any good shots at this game because there were too many people at the bench, and the glass at Eight Rinks is so dirty. I'll just post what I have in the galleries soon. 17-50mm is not long enough. I should've kept my 18-200 on.
